Since the 7th grade, my hair has been my trademark.  When I walk around the streets of New York City, people stop me all the time to comment and compliment my hair.  And in the spirit of support, hope and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to be able to give that kind of love and attention back to someone who truly deserves it.
It is with that motivation that I decided to cut off my hair to donate to The American Cancer Society, so that women going through cancer treatments who have lost their hair can have the joy that my hair has always brought me.  It was a big decision but, given the circumstances, this is not a big gift but just a token of support and love that I am able to give.

This will change me, too.  People will see beyond my hair and begin to really look at the real me.  Walking into the beautiful Wonderland Beauty Parlor in New York, I felt nervous, anxious, excited, happy and full of support for the cause.  And I made sure to wear my pink GUESS Watch, created specifically to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Now that my hair has been cut, I feel amazing, grateful and brand new!  The support I have had from GUESS Watches, Wonderland Beauty Parlor, my family and friends has been amazing and I am truly thankful.  If I had one message to the person who will be the recipient of my hairpiece, it would be…have fun!’
